The main mission defined for Jundi-Shapur  Research Institute, as the first specialized center established at Jundi-Shapur University of Technology, in the areas of Engineering, Humanities, and Architecture and Urban Planning is: 

Recognition of the tangible and intangible heritage of Gundi-Shapur , and materializing Jundi-Shapur 's mission in developing modern science and technology at regional, national and global levels.
